Happy Wednesday Everyone,
The scripture for today is 2 Thessalonians 3:16
2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
In Isaiah 9:6 we are told that one of the names of Christ is “the Prince of Peace.” In Ephesians 2:14 we are told that “He is our peace.” And in Galatians 5:22 we find that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. There is little wonder that the apostle can make this bold statement to the church. He knows that Christ gives us that which naturally flows from the character and Spirit of God. He is not anxious, so He does not offer anxiety to His children. He is not fearful, so He does not offer fear to His children. He can only offer us the qualities that are in His nature. He is our peace and as long as we are in Him, we have peace “always by all means.” And because we have faith in Him we joyfully receive that which He provides. In fact, we refuse to accept anything less. His peace is evidence of His presence. “The Lord be with you all” as you hold fast to Christ Jesus and receive His peace.
